Eric Sargent, MD, FACS, is a Board Certified Neurotologist and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons who has been with the Michigan Ear Institute since 2001. He is Clinical Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at Wayne State University and before joining the Michigan Ear Institute was Associate Professor and Director of Otology/Neurotology at Saint Louis University. He is widely known for his expertise in the field and has lectured and taught surgeons in North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. A graduate of Cornell University, he received his MD from the University of Michigan and completed his training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery from Washington University in Saint Louis. Dr. Sargent has research interests in Meniere’s Syndrome, Migraine-associated vertigo and other causes of vertigo as well as cochlear implantation. He treats patients of all ages who have hearing, balance, and facial nerve disorders, chronic ear disease, and tumors that arise in or near the ear.
