Dr. Naumann is board certified in Otology, Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery and holds a board certification in Otolaryngology in the USA and the European Union. Raised in Berlin, Dr. Naumann graduated from Humboldt University Medical School and completed her PhD dissertation on the Genetics of Neurofibromatosis with Magna Cum Laude.
Dr. Naumann has additional postgraduate training in Integrative Medicine with Dr. Andrew Weil from the University of Arizona and received a Board Certification in Otolaryngic Allergy.
Dr. Naumann completed her residency training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Indiana University, Indianapolis, IN and her Fellowship training in Neurotology at Michigan Ear Institute.
She returned to Michigan after practicing as Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology and Neurosurgery and the Head of the Division of Otology/Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA.
Dr. Naumann treats patients with chronic ear disease, hearing loss, vertigo and tumors of the ear and skull base. Dr. Naumann teaches physicians in training at DMC and holds a clinical professor position at Michigan State University. Whenever possible she uses an integrative holistic approach in treating her patients.
Dr. Naumann regularly travels on medical missions to countries such as Cambodia and Nicaragua, sharing her skills, offering local physicians advice and treating patients with complex ear disease.
